Since the 1970s, Mr. Folkins has worked as a member of various construction project teams participating as a representative of the owner, contractor or as a consultant. His experience includes design/construction projects, traditional construction projects utilizing lump sum contracts, unit price contracts, cost plus contracts and guaranteed maximum price contracts.
His construction project management experience includes the management of scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk and procurement. He recognizes that the major participants in the construction process are the design team, the owner, and the contractor and that they must work together as a team towards the common goal of completing the project on time, within budget and to the prescribed quality.
His work as a Contractor, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Cost Analyst, Cost Engineer, Project Controls Manager, Chief Estimator and Estimator qualifies him, as a member of a project team, to proactively contribute in the resolution of potential problems before they impact the project.

Resort, Hotel and Casino Experience
Four Seasons Resort Hotel, Nevis BWI – Senior Project Manager. Responsible for the management of the design and renovation of a five star hotel/resort following major hurricane damage. The entire design and construction for this $58.0 Million Project was completed within 8 months and included Hotel restoration, Site drainage improvements, reclaiming 100,000 cy of eroded sand, beach jetties, FF&E ordering and securing, and golf course repairs and improvements.
Golden Moon Resort Hotel and Casino, Philadelphia, MS – Director of Project Management. Responsible for the management of the design and construction of the completion of a new hotel/casino and world class water park.
Stations Casinos and Hotels, Las Vegas NV – Director Project Administration Responsible for the management of the design and construction of Stations Casino development including renovation of existing hotels. New projects included the Green Valley Resort Hotel, Red Rock Resort Hotel and Casino.
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Tampa FL – Project Scheduling Consultant. Responsible for providing project scheduling recommendations to Turner Construction Company and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for the design and construction of the expansion of a casino and parking garage.
Hilton Hotel and Site Development, Orlando FL – Project Manager. Responsible for providing project management recommendations to Hilton for the design and construction of two 14-story time-share facilities and related infrastructure.
Stanford Development Program, Antigua, West Indies – Project Executive, Responsible for the management of the design and construction of various projects for Stanford Development Company. Projects included a 150 key hotel, World Class Cricket Stadium, Golf Course and Residential Development, and Office Building Renovations.
